Good morning. After leaving Nashville friday morning we arrived in Kiev 17 hours later. Yuri took us to an Italian restaraunt for pizza before our 15 hour train ride to Simferopol. We boarded the train at five o’clock for a six o’clock departure. Kurt, Chuck and I were sound asleep by seven o’clock. In my case it was helped by a little blue friend called Ambien CR (I love it). We all woke up at about 1 am for an hour and enjoyed a little snack of fresh bread, cheddar cheese slices and salami. Then it was back to sleep til 8 am as we were awakend by the train conductor letting us know we would be in Simferopol in forty-five minutes. Of course the trip would not be complete without a trip to McDonald’s for a Big Mac for breakfast, yum yum. We spent the afternoon at the hotel resting then went to see the family we are building for. Max and Sveta and their 4 year old daughter and 2 year old son. Monday we spent the day mixing concrete, moving block and laying block. I had a chance to talk to Max about raising children and it was comforting to hear him express dealing with the same issues that I am going through. One of those moments that God uses to let us know that we are not alone in this world despite Satan’s efforts to isolate us. It is now Tuesday morn and we are headed back to work so we will write more later. God bless you all for keeping us in your prayers. Kurt,Chuck and Troy
