Hello every one from the beautiful Crimea in The Ukraine. We did make it safely and had no problems in travel here. This is the first chance I have had to blog since we arrived.
I am glad to tell you that we had0our first day of work today and we made excellent progress. I think the team made up of Robert, Eric and lmyself, Sergey. Our foreman, Erra our translator(and all around great lady) Maxim(the Hope House dad) and two men laying block moved and laid between 150 – 200 blocks today. The walls are rising quickly and we are in position to keep going up and framing windows and more walls tomorrow. We are all a little tired as you can imagine but are in high spirits. We were also able to nearly complete the wire frames that team three will be using to biuld support columns next week. All in all a good first day.
I am constantly amazed by the blessings God has given so many through this ministry ( don’t know why, after all we serve an awsome God who blesses abundantly). But still wonderfully amazed nonetheless. This morning for instance we had bible study before breakfast and the guys with me have such rich and diverse veiwpoints that you cannot help but gain a richer appreciation of the goodness of God. How can one not be awed by a God who created and takes delight in the wonderous variety he created. How can one not be overwhelmed by the faith and commitment of Yuri and the other Ukrainian brothers and sisters we get the priveledge of knowing and enjoying fellowship with here.
I realized all over again today why Hope House haas become such a meaninglull part of my family’s life. God bless and more tomorrow. Sean.
