About Encouragement Notes

Through your prayers and encouragement, you are stepping into a sacred space in the life of a War-Widowed Mother — a time when her world is in pieces and she’s doing all she can to care for her children and survive another day in the midst of war.

Your prayers and words of encouragement are not small things. They carry light. They bring hope. They offer strength.

When we encourage with God’s Word, we are planting seeds of faith in a heart that is new to the Gospel.

When we pray God’s Word, we intercede according to His promises, trusting Him to do what only He can.

And when we care for a widow in alignment with God’s Word, we walk in obedience and reflect the very heart of God.

Thank you for walking this road of intercession and compassion.

THINGS TO REMEMBER WHEN WRITING ENCOURAGEMENT NOTES

  • Please type your note and send to email: engage@hopehouseinternational.org.
  • Please limit your letter to one page.
  • Regarding identity and access, please only include your first name, city, and state. (No emails will be shared with our War-Widowed Mothers).
  • When appropriate, you’re invited to gently share personal experiences or emotions that help you relate to her journey — such as grief, loss, fear, worry, or feeling overwhelmed. Often, simply feeling understood can be a deep source of encouragement.
  • Most importantly, write whatever the Lord lays on your heart. There is no required order or structure—let your encouragement flow naturally.
