Helping Widows, Preventing Orphans

The Need

The rising death toll of men in combat across Ukraine has created a growing crisis: War- Widowed Mothers facing devastating and often hopeless circumstances.

To prevent the desperate abandonment or institutionalization of children left fatherless by war, we come alongside these mothers — helping them secure employment so they can provide stability and preserve the family unit.

What Would Prevent Children Left Fatherless By War
From Becoming Orphans?

HopeHouse International® helps War-Widowed Mothers stabilize their lives so they can care for their children.

How We Work

Our War Widow Reestablishment Program invites long-term family stability by meeting physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

To create the greatest opportunity for wholeness in each family, HopeHouse International takes a 3-pronged approach: (1) IT vocational training, certification, and job placement; (2) trauma care; and (3) evangelical ministry.

Physical, emotional, and spiritual stability creates the opportunity to change the current circumstances for War- Widowed Mothers and their children — changing the course of their future and eternity, as well.

THE IMPACT:

“I came to Hope Ranch with nothing left inside me. Because of my tragedy, I thought my life was over. But here… I felt peace for the first time since the war began.
I met women who understood me.
I met people who prayed with me. I encountered something I couldn’t explain—
until I understood it was the love of God for me.
Now I know I’m not alone.”
